Deep work is a very crucial factor in our daily work whether we are working for a company, freelancing, or working for ourselves to the point that our productivity can be badly damaged and reduced if we do not control our environment and relations to other parts of the world we live in.

As a Front-End engineer, I am also struggling a lot in such tough and full-of-information times when the world is throwing so much data at your brain every second is passed and if you don’t get to control the input gateway, you will end up damaging your productivity, discipline, and consistency in life and career.

I am sharing this with you since I’ve taken some serious actions to get as much stuff as I could under my own control and not let my brain be fed by nonsense information coming from every corner.

Here are my rules for the new lifestyle I’ve chosen for myself:

0- Turn off all notifications and silence your phone while working.
1- Never disrespect your momentum, when you achieve keep it going.
2- Cut out of bad habits friends and bad habits as much as you can.
3- Get the morning sunlight for a 10 to 30 min long.
4- Clean your desk and bed every day.
5- No music before 1 PM because the frequency used in recent music is not good for focusing.
6- Clean your Instagram from baddies, and soft porn, or delete your account completely unless you are having benefits from it.
7- Limit and validate the sources of information you are feeding your brain with.
8- Go to nature and isolate yourself from the modern world every once in a while.
9- Involve in real-life meetings and real social relations rather than virtual stuff on the Internet.
10- Learn every day even as little as a 10-minute using an article, a book, or a video!
11- Train your body and keep the shape as much as you can, go to the gym, train at home, go running, go walking, and keep your body active.
12- Eat healthy food and keep a proper diet for yourself, stop eating fat and sugar as much as possible.

These are the 13 rules I’ve committed myself to follow for the last 6 months and I’ve made good progress already yet there is a long way to go but I was worth sharing it because I see a lot of people are struggling with the same problem.
